GARBAGE & RECYLCING

SERVICES OFFERED AT THE DPW YARD

Public Works Yard, 1002 Fond du Lac Avenue
Normal hours: Monday - Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Summer hours: Saturday from 7:00 AM to 1:00PM
 
Cardboard:  Can be taken to the public works yard and place in the 5-yard cardboard dumpster.  The container is signed:  CARDBOARD ONLY.
Compost:  The grass, garden waste and leaf bin are also located in the public works yard.  Grass, leaves, and garden waste that will rot down in a compost pile may be placed in the bin.  Please empty contents of bags into the bin. 


BULK DROP OFF SITE

A bulk drop off site is available to Village of Kewaskum residents of all eligible Household Units accessible and open during the hours of 9am and 1 pm, Monday through Friday. The bulk drop off site is located at 803 N. River Road in West Bend; the bulk drop off site shall be free of charge to all eligible Household Units. Residents shall be limited to two (2) eligible items per visit.

Eligible Households are those that have garbage collection through the Village of Kewaskum, typically residential properties with four (4) or fewer units.

Material accepted:

  1. Furniture, including, but not limited to:
    • Couches, Chairs, Tables, Cabinets
    • Mattresses/Box-spring
  2. Carpet Roll (must be rolled and tied, not to exceed 4ft length or 12" diameter)
  3. Countertop, not to exceed 4ft length or 36" wide
  4. Doors
  5. Windows
  6. Other items too large to fit into cart

Materials EXCLUDED from bulky waste collection:

  1. Bags/containers/boxes of garbage or recycling
  2. Piles of loose lumber/construction material
  3. Appliances IV. Tires Automotive and Marine batteries
  4. Electronic items (TVs, DVD players, VCRs, stereos, computer equipment, office equipment, etc.)

WASHINGTON COUNTY HOUSEHOLD CLEAN SWEEP

Washington County residents have the opportunity to take their hazardous waste to Veolia Mondays and Wednesdays from 11am-6pm.  For additional information visit the Washington County website.
