The Village Clerk is responsible for establishing polling places, acquiring voting equipment, recruiting and training poll workers, maintaining voter lists, administering absentee voting, and supervising the conduct of elections on Election Day.

2025 Candidates for President & Trustee
At the Spring Election on April 1, 2025, the Village President and three (3) Village Trustee positions will be on the ballot. The top three candidates will serve a term of 2 years.
Ballot order was drawn randomly on January 8, 2025, 8:00 a.m. at the temporary Village Hall.
Nomination Papers for Village President or Village Trustee
Interested candidates for Village President or Village Trustee may begin circulating nomination papers for the 2025 Spring Election on December 1, 2024. Candidates must submit the following paperwork to the Village Clerk, no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 or the candidates name will not be placed on the ballot.

If an incumbent candidate chooses not to seek re-election, the Notification on Noncandidacy form should be received by the Village Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on the 2nd Friday preceding the deadline for filing ballot access documents to avoid an extension of time for filing such papers.
In-Person Absentee Voting
Electors may vote in-person absentee on the dates listed below at the temporary Village Hall (1308 Fond du Lac Ave)
Tuesday, March 18th - Thursday, March 20th from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Friday, March 21st from 7:00 a.m. - Noon
Monday, March 24th - Thursday, March 27th from 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Friday, March 28th from 7:00 a.m. - Noon.
Absentee Ballot Requests
Voters may request absentee ballots by mail at MyVote Wisconsin. If preferred, click here for the Absentee Ballots request form. For regular and overseas voters, the deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is the 5th day preceding the election.
On the My Voter Info tab on MyVote Wisconsin, you may track your Absentee Ballot Request.
When requesting absentee ballots in person, pursuant to Wis. Stats 6.86(1)(b), the absentee ballot application shall be made no earlier than 14 days preceding the election and no later than the Sunday preceding the election.
Polling Location on Election Day
The Village of Kewaskum has one polling location, the Kewaskum Fire Station, 1106 Fond du Lac Avenue.
Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
This location is accessible to elderly and disabled voters.
NOTE: In Person Absentee Voting is at the temporary Municipal Building, 1308 Fond du Lac.
Voter Registration
Voters may register and verify their current registration status at MyVote Wisconsin. Pursuant to State Statute 6.28(1), electors registering to vote online must complete registration by no later than 11:59 p.m. on the 3rd Wednesday before the election.
If preferred, electors may register by mail by submitting the Voter Registration form with proof of residency. Pursuant to State Statute 6.28(1), electors submitting registration by mail, must have their registration postmarked no later than the 3rd Wednesday before the election.
Voters may register in person at Village Hall, 204 First Street, up to the Friday preceding the election or on election day.
Proof of Residency vs. Proof of ID
Proof of residency is required for voter registration, whereas proof of ID is required to receive a ballot. Additional information on this may be found at www.bringit.wi.gov or by viewing the links below:
