Kayak Launch Project
Kewaskum ADA Kayak Launch Now Open!
The Kewaskum Friends of Parks is thrilled to announce that the ADA-compliant kayak launch on the Milwaukee River is now officially open! Located just south of Main Street on the east side of the river—near the recently upgraded Village of Kewaskum parking lot—the launch is now ready for public use.
This specially designed structure makes it easier and safer for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy kayaking, with features that allow access from both sides of the kayak for increased stability and accessibility.
We were proud to partner with the Wisconsin DNR, who awarded us a 50/50 matching grant to bring this project to life. A heartfelt thank you goes to local resident Tom Griesemer, whose leadership and vision played a key role in securing the grant and presenting the proposal.
The project was funded through the generous support of our community and proceeds from events like Pints and Polka, Perfect Pairings, and A Night at the Races.

We invite everyone to come down and experience the newest way to enjoy the beauty of the Milwaukee River. Happy paddling!
